Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected various sectors of South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK.

 Learning about the preparations for operating the Hwangnam Steel Works nearing completion, Choe Ryong Hae stressed the need to thoroughly establish the system of supplying raw materials and fuel and push ahead with the work for strengthening its own technical forces in a far-sighted way, so that the works should make a substantial contribution to the economic development of the province and the improvement of the people's standard of living.

 At the Sinwon Cement Factory and the wharf construction site of the Kumpho Mine under the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, he stressed the importance to put efforts into the management of equipment and technical control and actively introduce advanced construction methods, regarding it as the main task to improve the quality of products, calling on officials to make redoubled efforts and fulfill their responsibility and duty with high awareness of being leading personnel of the revolution.

 Going round the Raengjong Farm in Ongjin County, the Yonyang Farm in Haeju City, the Taephung Farm in Chongdan County and other farms, he said that it is necessary to make substantial preparations for finishing the harvest of wheat and barley in good time in keeping with the remarkable increase in the area under first crop cultivation compared with last year and cultivate many good varieties of oil crops and sugar crops to supply enough raw materials to regional-industry factories.

 He visited the Haeju Tractor Parts Factory and the Chongdan County Irrigation Management Station where he underscored the need to steadily improve the quality of various kinds of accessories by relying on science and technology and repair pumping power equipment and irrigation facilities in a responsible manner. At the provincial tree nursery, he called for raising a large number of wild fruit tree seedlings to suit the natural and geographical characteristics of the area and saplings needed for greening.

 Learning in detail about the work of the provincial people's committee, Choe Ryong Hae underlined the need to further strengthen the guidance over law-abiding life in a methodological way as required by the policy and called on officials of power organs, the deputies to the people's assemblies in particular, to become standard-bearers in implementing the Party's policies and true servants of the people who find even one more good thing for the people.
