Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on April 17.
Kim Jong Un, in the message, extended warm congratulations to the Syrian president and the friendly people of Syria on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of its independence.
He said he is pleased that the government and people of Syria make progress in the struggle for resolutely frustrating the anti-Syria moves of the U.S. and its vassal forces, achieving territorial integrity and eradicating the aftermath of the earthquake damage under the correct leadership of the Syrian president.
He wished the Syrian people greater success in accomplishing their just cause, expressing the belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries standing in the same trench of the anti-imperialist joint struggle would grow stronger.
