Premier Kim Tok Hun Inspects Agricultural Work of North and South Hwanghae Provinces

Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, made a field survey of the agricultural work of North and South Hwanghae provinces, including Sariwon City and Unpha, Sinchon, Samchon, Songhwa and Unryul counties.

Learning in detail about the crops in the granary, the premier called upon the agricultural officials and workers to redouble efforts, mindful that to conclude this year's farming well is a very important political work upholding the plan and intention of the Party Central Committee for the victorious advance of our style of socialism.

He said that all farms should concentrate all efforts to enhancing the yielding per hectare to the maximum by manuring and cultivating crops in the latter half of growth in a responsible manner and make full preparations for harvesting and threshing including overhaul and servicing of tractors and threshers.

He stressed the need for the agricultural guidance organs at all levels to effectively conduct with correct methodology the work for raising the production zeal of the agricultural workers in keeping with the specific conditions of relevant regions and farms and to push ahead with the next year's farming in a foresighted way, including seed selection and improved farming methods on the basis of this year's experiences and lessons.

Prior to it, the premier went round the Posan Iron Works and took measures after discussing the issues arising in increasing the Juche iron.
