Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected the fisheries field and the construction site of a local industrial factory in Kangwon Province.
He looked round the Thongchon Fishery Station and the Songdowon Fishery Station. There he underlined the need to put the search for fishing ground on a higher scientific basis, ensure prompt advance to the main fishing ground as required by the policy for catching more fish through intensive fishing campaign and thus increase haul per ship. He also called for paying deep attention to the living of fishermen.
He learned in detail about the construction of a local industrial factory in Kimhwa County. He emphasized that officials should provide responsible organization and command for different construction projects to set a model in all aspects, bearing deep in mind the intention of the Party Central Committee to create a new standard of local industrial factory.
There took place field consultative meetings. Discussed there were the issue of continuing the fishing campaign through thorough-going technical management of fishing ships and fishing tackle preparations and the issues essential for all the processes like fishing, discharging, freezing and storing of fish. Ways of completing the construction of the local industrial factory in Kimhwa County within the date set by the Party and on a level demanded by the Party was also discussed.
Earlier, Kim Tok Hun visited the construction site of Sinphyong Power Station and pressed for relevant measures.
